The funniest thing happened while on our way to the post office...we pull out of the driveway and I take my first photo. We are driving down our road and I'm chatting away and I see something on my right moving. I let out the biggest scream while Andres is driving he gets claws stuck in his leg and yells both because of my scream and with the claws in his legs. Pepe, our cat, stowed away and crawled out quite frightened and even more so with our screaming. It would have been so funny if this was all recorded, we would have one Australia's funniest video for sure and luckily we didn't end up in someone's front yard or worse still a house.

Homework time...grrr!! only another 6 weeks left (I think?) No, I just checked and it is 5 weeks - the horror!! this weekend my nose will be in the books. Well...that is the plan. I just downloaded episode 19 of Big bang theory too :(

I had a week off from uni and was hoping to get a little ahead but all I've done is watch movies, lots and lots of movies. Let me see if I remember them all

bday

It's my baby's birthday today, and by baby I mean my daughter, my last and only little girl. She turned 8 today. She is growing so quickly and I feel like crying. I am such a sook lately! I can't explain why, but anything will set me off. I was watching the time traveller's wife and cried. Actually I had to stop the DVD a couple of times to compose myself and then continue watching. I didn't really like the movie but it made my cry. Then I watched Mao's last dancer. Guess what? I cried again, cried like a little baby. And today I went to watch my younger two at their cross country. I saw a young mother with her younger child pointing to her older boy amongst the other children. The little brother was calling his name and he couldn't hear him so he kept getting closer and closer until finally he heard his baby brother and turned around and smiled and waved at his brother and when he saw his mother his face lit up, it got me a little emotional...again. At this stage I think anything could set me off.

all to myself

It was a very warm day today for my mini date. We ended up going to a Chilean pastry shop. I wasn't very hungry when we got there and wasn't going to have anything but then decided on a small pastry. Andres ordered a chacarrero (it is like a burger but it has green beans, thinly sliced meat, avocado, mayonnaise and tomatoes on some handmade bread)and I ended up having half of that as well! I'm so bad. I really wanted to take Andres to pretzel world but that will have to be another time.

I saw Guy Sebastian on Hey Hey and he sang my favourite song. I really love it. He sang it with Kate Cebrano's brother on the circle a couple of weeks ago and it sounded amazing. Has anyone heard it?

i've got a date

Did a wee bit of crocheting today. I made myself a beanie but it never ended though, I think my head must be a little big.

I have a date tomorrow *excited scream* I haven't had one of those in a long, LONG time. Don't care where I go, even to the corner store will make me smile.

I have been so tense and nervous with this project proposal I had to present today. I am doing a second year subject in my first year and definately feeling the pressure of it all. We have to create a flash project and I did mine on origami for children. My drawing abilities are really bad but here is a 'proposed' screen...don't laugh!



Critique away...I am open for suggestions, comments and criticism. (Apparently according to a lovely tutor I have, in the design industry if you cannot handle criticism then perhaps you are in the wrong industry). I'm not happy with the background PLUS something is missing (apart from better drawing ha!) at the top.

These photos I took were taken of my home, well the top part. Can you tell it is in need of a paint job? The days are getting much cooler here although you couldn't tell with the beautiful sunshine during the days, but I have a cold to prove it.

seven things...about me

I have been tagged for a kreative blog award by Two Tuesdays and have to tell you seven things about myself, I don't know if I'll manage seven things or if they'll be interesting but I'll give it a go.

1. I hate the smell of mandarins.
   
2. I am scared...like petrified scared of magpies and crows and will walk right around to avoid them and their scary eyes.
   
3. Every morning I wake up and smile at how lucky I am to be lying next to the man of my dreams.
   
4. I love the smell of coffee but I cannot drink it.
   
5. I've been overseas only once in my entire life.
   
6. By the time I am in my last year of uni my oldest son will be just starting uni.
   
7. Last one...ummm. I married my first and only boyfriend.
   

I finished, although it took me forever. Who knows how long I would've taken if it was 15 things!

walkabout

After spending most of the day indoors it was nice to go outside and go for a small walk. Hand in hand with my sweetheart.

One week of school holidays left, although they get very noisy. I find that when they go back to school I miss them terribly. The house gets too quiet. Is that weird?

I finished my typography 'no smoking' sign and tomorrow we start our studio lighting assignment...which should be a lot of fun.

So many assignments to do...and no enthusiasm to do them. I am going to regret it later when I will have to stay up till 1am or more to finish them off :/
