no phone
Today was absolutely freezing, I was going to go for a walk but changed my mind and got into my warm bed and watched a movie. I was aching to call Andres all day today, I call him quite often during the day while he is at work. He told me yesterday that when I do call him that I distract him and hinted for me not to call him. So although I wanted to, I managed to NOT call him. When he got home I reminded him of what he told me and he said that all day today he kept looking at his mobile to see if he had any missed calls from me. He told me to not pay attention to what he said...he wants me to call him. Gah! men.

Greek yoghurt cake
I was craving something sweet this afternoon, and unfortunately we only had cookies. So I got out the recipe book and decided on a Greek Yoghurt cake. I was in the middle of making it when I realised I didn't have yoghurt, that is right! the main ingredient and I didn't have any, so I quickly ducked down to the corner store. That sort of stuff always happens to me.

geisha doll
This is all I see...antennas everywhere
Started book number two
I am feeling so much better today, I would have like to have stayed home but I was a little bored of seeing the same thing on TV on all the channels. I am happy for Julia Gillard but they OD'ed slightly and I needed to get away.

fluey
[+] It's been raining today, and I really don't mind the rain just as long as I am not outdoors when it starts, my hair frizzes up really quickly. But I managed to go outside when the rain stopped to take photos, what a shame I don't have a macro lens to get a little closer to these gorgeous raindrops! I must have looked a little silly lying down on the damp concrete to get these photos but...who cares :P
[+] I have not been well, my bones ache a lot and just typing takes a lot of effort. My head feels like it is going to explode and I am having these cold & flu tablets that smell so badly.
[+] I can't remember what else I was going to say...lets blame me being sick & not my age.

last minute
I LOVED crunching these leaves and kept walking past
This weekend came and went so quickly. It was so lovely but also full of sadness as my nieces and big sis are leaving tomorrow :( I spent all today with her and now I have to do some last minute laundry...if I can stay awake that is!

K
I went for a little stroll around my neighbourhood as every time I drive past and see the above silo I always think I must take a photo of it, it always looks amazing to me but I think it looked better in my head, I imagined it a little differently. It is funny though how people stare at me when they see me with my camera hanging from my neck. Maybe they don't see people with cameras that often? who knows.
We have a birthday party tomorrow...although we had a little preview today. My older sister is down from Tweed Heads (near the Queensland border) to visit my mum before she starts chemo and to celebrate her youngest daughters birthday. She turned 2 today, and she made her a small cake. I think we sung happy birthday like 5 times and she kept asking for mas, mas. I can't imagine how many times we'll sing to her tomorrow :)

finally
I finally, finally handed in my flash assignment. Considering that two weeks ago I was ready to throw in the towel, I am relieved that I was able to complete it. I don't think I will be getting a high distinction, but truthfully I'll be happy with a pass. I now have 6 weeks off and I have a lot planned during this time off
[+] Op-shopping (there has to be some that are decent around here :/)
[+] Read (four books that I haven't touched since January)
[+] Crochet (blanket for baby sister & owl for great owl crochet along)
[+] Go to the Blue Mountains (they have copihues (Chilean National Flower)
[+] Prepare package project for the lovely Angie
[+] Take heaps and heaps of photos :D

only my camera
Perfect day for phototaking, plus the fact I had to wait around and was stuck without my mobile and only a camera in my hand.

long weekend
I unfortunately was busy all day yesterday. We had a family BBQ. I was so exhausted after it all ended that I didn't have the energy to even check my emails. Not that I had any :( I made a cake yesterday, tres leches cake that I ended up having to remake again today as my kids didn't get to eat any. But alas, it has disappeared again!

favourite quote
You can only become truly accomplished at something you love. Don't make money your goal. Instead, pursue the things you love doing and then do them so well that people can't take their eyes off of you.
And that is what life is all about, isn't it? money will never make someone truly happy.

regrets
I only have a couple of regrets, nothing too major I *think*
[+] I regret not having had another baby after my daughter's birth. She wants so badly to have a sister to play with and I feel a little sad for her
[+] We bought our wedding rings from Chile, the gold is much better quality not to mention cheaper. My in-laws brought them over a few weeks before our wedding. Years later I gave the ring to my aunt who was going to take it to a jewellers, she was going to make it thicker as the band was thin, I loved the thicker look. She went to the jewellers and 'someone' stole it from the counter. When I went to Chile in 2004 I bought another ring identical to my husbands from the same place my in-laws had but it cannot replace the original and every time I look at it I remember :(

colours
I read somewhere that the colour of the photos you take reveal your character. I wonder what my photos reveal about me? Hmmm

a song that makes me happy
I thought this one would be hard considering the previous one took me a while but it was actually quite easy. My second last job was getting really stressful, I was working on a helpdesk and I was doing most of the work. It was hard some days climbing the steps up to where I worked. I would literally struggle, so I would get my iPod out and put this song on as loud as my ears could handle and it would manage to change my mood, it got me through the day. I almost didn't want to take my earphones off!
So here it is...Sunshine by Twista (Sorry for the swearing)

lonely glove
That glove looked so lonely out on the road...I had to get a photo of it. Don't you think it looks a little sad?

favourite movie
My most favourite movie? Gee it is hard to pick as I have so many in mind. I mean a LOT of movies. There are just so many that are brilliant in my eyes.
But my number one...has to be Anne of Green Gables. It is such an amazing movie. I bought the videos when they came out and it took me a long time before I was able to throw them out. I only threw them out because I no longer have a VHS player PLUS they tape was worn from so much rewinding, I guess.
I remember watching this when I was in high school and when it came out we would have to wait a whole day to watch the next part, I think I was in year 7, and it was agony waiting a whole day to find out the next part.
Can you tell which side is mine? ;)

ms lonely
I LOVE my flannelette sheets. The colour isn't very nice but they are warm and cosy. Perfect for winter. The above photo was taken with my iphone, not very good quality is it but I love the hipstamatic app.
I am craving some interaction from anybody at the moment, as much as I love to visit other blogs I also like to get a response back. I sometimes visit blogs and when I see too many comments I will usually not leave mine (unless I really need to say something) because I know I won't get a response. My email inbox has been empty for the last two weeks and I'm getting kind of lonely.

vintage eyeglasses
I LOVE these vintage eyeglasses...and I am dying to buy myself a pair but what if I look like Dame Edna Everage? ha! a very scary thought.
On another note, Friday I went to see Sex and the City 2. It was bad! sorry to ruin it for anyone that hasn't seen it yet and was dying to go see it, but it sucked!. Funny story though, we got up early to go to watch it and buy myself a Flash CS4 book at Borders, the movie started at 10am. So when we finally leave borders it is 9:55am and Andres says to me there is no way we are going to be able to have breakfast, we'll have to wait till after the movie. We didn't have breakfast before leaving home, we assumed we would have enough time. I said they never start the movie on time, we have more than enough time BUT I went along with him since he was taking me to a movie he wasn't really interested in watching in the first place. The movie starts about 10:25am MORE than enough time to have had breakfast. Throughout the movie there is food and Andres is like...mmm that looks so yum! every time food appeared. The movie finished about 1:15pm and we were starving. We wanted to go to the coffee club but it was full! the only seats were outside and it was an extremely cold and windy day and I wasn't in the mood. We ended up leaving a little disappointed but decided on getting some focaccia. From Rouse Hill to Mt Druitt is a good 20 minutes so we decide to buy the things we need to make the focaccias at home. I said there is no way I am waiting around till later to have food, I won't make it, I'll pass out (I am very dramatic like that). We passed a McDonald's and decide to eat there. I hadn't had a big mac in ages and boy did I regret it later. Never, never again...bleurgh! just thinking about the big mac makes my stomach turn. It didn't turn out to be a good day.
Uni has finished, well almost. I have a final assignment that I need to complete that I've been given an extension for. I hope I can complete it...as I don't have a clue what I am doing.

two left
Finally a day without rain and a day spent outdoors. I love going to Windsor, there are so many amazing buildings and I could have spent the whole day photographing them. But my final two assignments were calling me.
