time
[+] My latest finds at my local op shop from yesterdays visit. A cute children's book, a little frame with an old handkerchief (I think), embroidered sheet (tea towel size), a gardening book and the Phantom of the Opera that I have wanted to read for the longest time. Not sure what to do with the embroidered sheet but it was so delicate and pretty & reminded me of the time my mother did some embroidery.
Have a lovely weekend friends, I'll be baking a cake (tres leches again) for my oldest boy who turns 16! time really has flown

today
scenes from my day today. A little bit of baking, a lovely stroll in the afternoon with two of my loves and a pretty little bird. Now a question, does anyone know the name of this bird?

film corner
I love watching movies based on real life events but Conviction and 127 hours were not that good. The others were terrible, very terrible.
My review
127 Hours ??
An American in Paris ?
My one and only ?
Conviction ?
Life as we know it ?
Love & other drugs ??

better, I think
Better, I think, to write badly, draw poorly, take broken pictures and sing like a tuneless parakeet than to do none of these things at all - Unknown

crochet and stuff
still crocheting
still drawing
developing old rolls of film and finding this gorgeous treasure...this is my favourite (look at Alec crying, Josh worried about his baby brother, Rodrigo with not a care in the world...I love it!)
dictionary I have from 1985 that my son is now using...notice the patching up with sticky tape ;)
Hope your days are exciting as mine ;) *cough sarcasm*

hello autumn
colours that are slowly reminding me that summer has definitely left and although I am a little glad the hot days are well and truly over I am also dreading the thought of it ending. It went far too quickly! my holidays are almost over and in a week I'll be back at uni which I am super excited about it but anxious and sad about at the same time. Where did the time go?

busy
Still here...but I've been a little busy with
[+] celebrating 11th birthday of my son & baking his birthday cake
[+] stressing with uni subjects coming up as invalid :/
[+] drawing
[+] crocheting
[+] applying for jobs (fingers & toes crossed for one in particular)
[+] enjoying my last days of freedom
romance
Perhaps, after all, romance did not come into one's life with pomp and blare, like a gay knight riding down; perhaps it crept to one's side like an old friend through quiet ways; perhaps it revealed itself in seeming prose, until some sudden shaft of illumination flung athwart its pages betrayed the rhythm and the music, perhaps… perhaps… love unfolded naturally out of a beautiful friendship, as a golden-hearted rose slipping from its green sheath ~ 'Anne of Green Gables' L.M. Montgomery
Happy valentine's day...to all my dear friends!

lately
Just a quick post with some pics of some op shop finds!
The weather has been really good, in fact quite cool. The kids have gone to school these past two days with jumpers on, weird when a couple of days it felt like we were melting.

one thing
Put 'eat chocolate' at the top of your list of things to do today. That way, at least you'll get one thing done
a little bored
This grass was once very green, but this heat that unfortunately will still be around for a few more days is killing it all. It has been pretty hot here and I don't dare go outside. And so, I have been cooped up all week long and feeling a bit cuckoo
but I managed to finishing writing a letter
get the giveaway ready to go
watch these pretty roses die
and experiment a little in photography...but I am still bored. Bored, bored, bored :(
