where do I begin?

It has been a while since I've been around, not because I haven't wanted but because I have been so insanely busy with university work. I am doing a Video camera and image formation elective and it has kept me quite busy. It certainly has been an uphill learning curve but I finally got there and handed in the assignment that I have been stressing over for weeks. And now! a week off (but I think this week off will be busier than any other). Andres needs to go to Nowra next week and asked if I wanted to go PLUS I am filming a Sudanese graduation ceremony too.

I feel like I have so much to say, it feels like I haven't talked to anyone this week. I have been very good which is very unlike me as I get easily distracted by the internet.

Each of these images has a little story that goes along with it...the first two images are a matryoshka doll measuring cup set that will be used for my second photomedia assignment. I borrowed some elinchrom d-lites and lucky me I get to have it an extra day as Monday they will not open. I am thinking of some crazy ideas for these gorgeous dolls and I am hoping they turn out.  Ideas that are in your head turn out much better than in real life.

This is a cake I made while cooking dinner today. Because I have been extremely busy figuring out this video editing I have hardly had time to cook, especially cakes and Andres has been suffering. This I made especially for him. He only got a small slice before leaving for a camping trip this weekend. I doubt there will be any left when he gets back.

I got a sweet letter from Micaela today...I love going to my letter box and seeing something unexpected. I was thinking her letter would arrive next week. I read it as fast as my eyes could go. It made my weekend! Actually hearing her voice today was extra special too. A little explanation is needed...I am a little shy to skype with Micaela but after reading her letter I had to hear her voice. So I got her mobile number and asked her not to pick up so I could leave a message. I was so amazingly nervous haha and apparently I have a very strong Aussie accent. It was fun and I am hoping to get the courage to one day do the skype thing ;)

Ha! this one is a good one. My brother went to Thailand for two weeks and arrived back on Tuesday this week. He kept asking us what we wanted and I asked him for some perfume, Chanel Chance as it is really expensive here! he got it over there for $20 and I thought to myself what a bargain. I took the perfume out of the box and it the smell hit me hard. It smells nothing like the perfume PLUS look at the writing, it is falling off! needless to say, it is NOT Chanel.

Another drawing of mine. I cannot for the life of me get the eyes to look the same and I have a hard time drawing boys/men. But I always tease my oldest saying my drawings are better (aren't I mean?) ha!

Last photo...I never got a chance to really thank this wonderful and very sweet friend who sent me this camera. Two Tuesdays you are amazing! I love it with a capital L. I still can't believe it as this is far too generous. It will hold a very special place in my home forever!

Aren't I talkative today?
