true I am a few days late, twelve to be exact but I am finally feeling better after the big presentation on the 1st of November. I got home that day feeling so nervous and jittery, and my legs were so very achey like I had the flu. So here I am a few days later finally feeling better and relaxing as each day passes. I finally got back into the kitchen and made these amazing pumpkin scones, so super soft and sweet despite looking very plain.
I also, after years and years of wanting to go, got to visit the sculpture by the sea a day before it was due to close. It was not a very nice day weather wise but I had so much fun looking at all the different sculptures. The most enjoyable part was when the dolphins appeared and the sculptures were quickly forgotten by all. Everyone was oohing and aahing at their little show they put on, it was quite a sight. My favourite sculpture?
The one below, I couldn't get a proper photo though. The title of the piece "life is short" and it was made out of tree branches and it only had "lif"
And I was back to crocheting a little potholder to send to a pen pal. I squished it into the envelope so I hope it doesn't end up looking too deformed when it reaches Belgium.
Not too much else going on...except a whole lot of job hunting. Fingers are crossed I find something soon but things aren't looking too good, I applied over the weekend as a volunteer and even they didn't want me haha. Biggest news though is I cut my hair! It was so very long but at the same time I had very dry ends. I will probably regret it soon but for now it feels nice to have short hair in this hot weather. I cannot imagine what summer will be like.
Hope everyone has been well...promise I'll be around more. I know I say this a lot but I truly mean it this time ;)

Wonderful to see some black and white snaps and that potholder is amazing! Good luck with your job hunting!
congratulations on being on the other side of your presentation. love your sculpture by the sea images too yay for getting there before it finished! x
I love, love, love your photos!! You're so lucky you live in such beautiful place. :D
Congrats on finishing with the presentation!!! Woot! Glad to hear you made it to sculptures this year, your photos are so pretty! Good luck with the job hunt too.
Amazing beach pictures! I wish you all the luck of the world for finding a fitting job! No easy times at the moment. I feel always much better after cutting my hair, like a burden is taking away from me :) And if it is so hot, shorter hair is also bette, so I hope you don't regret it too much. The potholder is so sweet! The one you sent me is still hanging in my room :)
glad to hear you're feeling better, and don't worry, when the right job comes along for you you'll get it. that's how life works. :) even if it might not be the one we really want it'll lead you in the right direction so i'm sure one will come up soon!
These are truly stunning pictures of Bondi. I love your photos Katyha. Goodluck with the job hunting. x
Thank you Kate, I have applied to several but so far no response. That is the worst part, the waiting :/
oh yes! so thankful it is all over. And glad I made it to sculpture by the sea
Thanks Debie, Sydney is beautiful especially the beaches
Thanks Trishie, I thankfully had the rest of my work done a week before the actual presentation so I could concentrate on the big presentation. And thanks, I'll let you know how it goes with the job hunt ;)
Thanks Claudia...my fingers and toes are crossed that I find a nice job that hopefully is not too far away from my home, I hate travelling and being away for too long from my kids :(
It did feel amazing after my hair cut but was so hard to manage a few days later, it always is! my hair is very rebellious.
Aww! I'm glad you are using the potholder :)
Oh I hope so Jess...keep your fingers crossed for me I have applied to a handful and no response yet.
Thank you Nicole...Bondi behaved beautifully and it helps that there was still a little light out when I went. And thank you, I hope I find one before christmas but just writing that makes me giggle, definite wishful thinking
