[+] found this gorgeous camera while at the flea markets, cannot wait to try it out although don't have a clue where I can have film developed these days. I asked a fellow Aussie where she develops film since her blog is full of them and she has kindly not replied...I guess some things are top secret and only spoken while in a cone of silence
[+] a wooden toy to add to my collection, I love them! found this while at the markets. It was a marvellous day but oh so hot, I have the top of my feet sunburnt in the shape of thongs
[+] and how could I resist this cute pez dispenser? I actually bought it so I could withdraw money from the self checkout at Coles, there is never an atm when you need one
[+] this Judy Blume book was found while at an Anglicare op shop who sell children's books for 10 cents, I remember reading it when young which was quite a while ago but cannot remember what it is about so I will spend the weekend getting reacquainted with it
[+] PLUS the making of almond butter despite it being quite hot and humid outdoors, I really picked a bad time to make it but wanted to have a taste and experience the love everyone seems to have for it. I must say it is quite nice, although note quite sure how it is eaten

That's not so nice of that person. But by experience, it's really best to try and google it first. The next thing would be just randomly asking the salesperson whenever you come across a photography shop. Usually even at Tesco they do it. But that too depends on the format on the film. 35mm would be the easiest one to develop and the cheapest. Mine is 120mm and that is a real pain in the butt to get done and not to mention expensive too! ;)

I still have some of my Judy Blume books and all I remember about that one is Margaret repeating "I must I must I must increase my bust" :)
Ooh making your own almond butter sounds interesting! I have always wanted to try making my own almond milk.
great find with the camera! i'm not sure exactly where you live but i know some big Ws do on-site film processing and same with paxtons. ted's sends their film away so it can take a week or two to get processed so i never do that. you could always google it and see if there is a chemist or some small business that'll be able to handle it near you?
also that almond butter sounds delicious! and i remember reading judy blume books when i was in primary school, haha. she was great!
Good grief - I loved Are you there God! It did, however, freak me out about periods.
We are lucky to have a local camera shop who have chosen to continue to develop film, plus will put them onto a digital disc too - yay! But yes, some supermarkets still send them off, or chemists - def ask or google maybe, I think I remember there being an aust online shop that did them..
Love the wooden toy and the Madagascar Pez is so cute.... I just found a three in one Judy Blume book too at an Oppie to re-read.... will be interesting to see how it sits with me now and if i'll pass them on oneday too The Munchkin...

Yes I think that is the part most people remember, I reread this weekend and I wish I could remember what I originally thought about it, isn't that good now that I am older...much, much older but must have been exciting back in the day ;)
It always sounded a bit odd to me but it is so easy to make and actually taste quite unbelievable. I think it is the roasting them in the oven first that brings out a different flavour...you must try. Almond milk? I don't think I would have the energy to attempt that
Yeah our local Big W stopped film processing not sure why but I will have to check other nearby stores to see if they do it. It is such a pain and google has not been my friend in finding these limited stores that still do this.
Definitely a recipe to try. I had never tasted almond butter before and I think my batches need to be processed a little further but it is lovely to have nice and crunchy with nothing else added.
I only read that one Judy Blume book, I wasn't a reader, I was the one that waited for the move ;) haha
I think it would freak any young girl but I was definitely not excited about the prospect of getting them like these girls were
I have tried googling and most of the shops that supposedly do the film processing have closed a while ago :/ but I'll keep searching, there is surely one still around.
Not sure I would give this book to my daughter to read just because I feel a little pressure is placed on girls and being in the 'normal' group. I've only read this one though so can't judge the others.
