I realise that I haven't done a film post in such a very long time and while it may seem that there is a whole lot of movies watched (fifty two...yikes!) may I just say in my defence some days were way too hot to go outside or other days uni way too stressful so watching a whole heap of movies was absolutely vital for my existence. So here they are
June
21 Jump Street was a great comedy and I enjoyed it Along came Polly is a favourite of my sisters so watched it as I had never finished watching it completely it is ok but definitely not one of my favourites, sorry sis. A lot like love I enjoyed especially as photography is involved and It's kind of a funny story was ok not a movie I would re-watch though. Nope not at all.
July
I was expecting a little more from American reunion as the others were always funny but with a great story so I was a little disappointed, The best exotic marigold hotel was a little sad, Twins I hadn't watched in a while so it was fun to see this one again. The three stooges I was expecting to be ridiculous but it was actually quite funny and enjoyable. Why stop now...one word: boring with a capital B, Last night was a little bit of a muddle and frankly boring, I don't like movies that seem to encourage extra-marital affairs and it seems it is getting more plentiful these days. Normally I love watching the oldies but I didn't enjoy The facts of life. Animation is always fun so I enjoyed The Lorax.
August
Restless was fun, romantic and sad at the same time, Dreamgirls wow! a whole lot of singing. Roxanne is one of my favourites funny and romantic is always a good combo why aren't more movies made like this anymore? Lolita was a little confusing and Jeremy Irons is a whole lot of creepy. He's on my mind do not even waste your time watching 119 minutes of my life I will never get back, The five year engagement not as exciting as I was hoping for but I loved Chris Pratt singing in Spanish and had that song on repeat on iTunes for weeks and weeks. The dictator frankly was so silly but then most of Sacha Baron Cohen movies are and Friends with kids was dull.
September
I was expecting Snow White and the huntsman to be ultra amazing but I think there was a lot of hype over nothing really, Girl in progress very well deserving of 4/10, Think like a man was another dull unstimulating movie. What to expect when you're expecting all hype for a truly boring movie not even all the famous actors could change my opinion on this one, the Lucky one was ok but sort of predictable. Magic Mike sorry girls this one was not a good one for Channing, Any questions for Ben? an Aussie and a dud! Moonrise Kingdom I know I am supposed to say how spectacular it was but although I tried to see it I couldn't. Maybe someone needs to explain how this movie is so amazing.
October
Jeff who lives at home was good, I liked it although was a little confusing at first, Detachment also one I enjoyed although I might need someone to explain it for me....some movies I just need more info and this is definitely one of them. Bachelorette not a good one at all, Be kind rewind was always one that I had been meaning to so when I found it at uni brought it home. It was ok. Beautiful Kate another Aussie and one that caused a lot of confusion but seeing the outback was good at least. Hysteria I had a bit of a nervous chuckle about, if you read the synopsis you will know why, Take this waltz another movie about leaving your husband for another guy, did not like this one although loved the buggles song in it and probably the only bit I did enjoy. Ruby Sparks was interesting, Zapped looked so old with its effects, The amazing spider-man while I prefer Andrew Garfield it wasn't that exciting. Emily Blunt does some great movies but I didn't like Your sister's sister and A simple life was a truly sad movie.
November
Step Up revolution was disappointing, not sure what happened as I have enjoyed all the others. Ted very naughty and a tiny bit funny and a lot of drug use. Brave was such a thrill I think the Scottish accent got me, loved it. Mean girls 2 was a bit let down to the first one, Delicacy was really confusing mainly because the subtitles were all out of whack, Hope Springs it was so weird watching Steve Carrell being serious I enjoyed it because of him but otherwise not very good. Hello again a movie I remember watching ages ago, I liked it then and I like it still. Everyone who reads my blog knows my love of Fred Astaire, Carefree was lovely. So I married an axe murderer good for a chuckle, 10 years is another disappointing Channing Tatum movie. I mean what is the story? I was completely lost. The sitter I think must be a remake of Elisabeth Shue's Adventures in babysitting, the story was so similar a little funny and my lucky last one the decoy bride Kelly MacDonald did the voice of Merida in the movie Brave loved the accent and although the movie was a little slow there is a part in it that made me cry and smile all at once. David Tennant (who I still picture as Barty Crouch in Harry Potter's Goblet of Fire sticking out his tongue) and probably not a good as a romantic lead goes to an old couples house and this couple are convinced he is someone famous and want him to play the bagpipes, he cannot convince them that he cannot play so pretends to play and this adorable old couple begin dancing and are looking at each other with such love, it is adorable! and he realises at that moment that they are completely deaf. It touched me so deeply, I could definitely watch that bit over and over.
So there it is, the movies I have watched in the last six months. Just a few :P

Wow - that is some impressive film watching! I thought Delicacy was so amazing and also A simple life. Hello again is such a classic!
You have seen so many movies. I would not watch this many in a year but I would love to watch more. I might still check out a few of these. x
I am listing down everything here. Planning to watch these with my boyfriend. Haha :P
21 Jump Street was really funny! I actually didn't have much high hopes for it but when we were watching it it turned out to be a good laugh.
I loved 'Detachment'! Although I think Adrien Brody looks like he is high off his rockers most of the time! 'Moonrise Kingdom' was alright I suppose. A little too draggy and a bit creepy with little kids acting like adults. Yeah, that really creeped me out.
Oh, even husband is like that. Totally hates movies that have the 'extra-marital affair' theme in it. =s
Wow, you watched a lot of movies. I hope I have time to watch many movies like you.
Anyway, I love Step Up Revolution, maybe you should watch it in cinema to get that amazing 3D dance scenes.
And you definitely should watch Life of Pi!
Oh, and I love you, Katyha. Been following you since years in Blogspot before you move here :)
That's a lot of movies, Katyha! I'm one of those people who loved Moonrise Kingdom. Love the quirkiness and the soundtrack, I guess. The cuteness of it all.
Happy New Year! x
I love the classics...I don't know I find them a bit better than the movies that are popping up lately but maybe it is just my memories messing with me
it does seem like a lot when shown this way but I am sure this is nothing compared to others. My recommendations would be only counted on one hand :/
oh let me know which ones you enjoyed ;)
yes same here, I thought it would suck a little but it did have funny bits in it.
Detachment really impacted me after I watched it but not sure about the ending :/ it left me puzzled.
Oh all movies have that now, it is annoying that couples never stay together or if they are they are looking for someone else :(
it does look like a lot of movies, I guess I look for the perfect movie but haven't found many.
Yes I want to watch life of Pi it does look interesting. Have you seen it?
Oh thanks for following me ;)
yes heaps of movies, I haven't watched too many lately.
Happy new year to you too! hope you have a lovely time away...are you back or still on holidays?
