Ahhh finally finished assignments...I'm so tired, my eyelids are drooping. I had three to do plus a lot of reading that I am finally caught up on. I ended up doing one solo even though it was a group assignment.

I had to take a lot of photos for my photomedia subject. I went to a park Saturday and there were about three weddings. I got such a lovely photo with the flowers in the back of the car, I don't know if it was deliberately left there or someone forgot them but they looked so gorgeous.



My typography assignment was fun, but very tiring on the hands. I ended up doing it twice because I wasn't happy with the first one. We had four words that we had to express the meaning of with only type.

Finally I can go to bed early tonight :D

Listening to old music and feeling very nostalgic...I started looking through my old scanned photos and they made me smile.

It's getting really lonely over here...every day I check my emails and I am excited when I see there are 10 but alas they are all junk. Ah well...

I had to go to the cardiac specialist today, it is funny how when you don't have a notebook or a piece of paper you get all these wonderful and crazy ideas. I had to write them down on a small receipt I was given. But I guess ideas work that way.

I also had a brilliant idea to do a lovely swap...with whomever wants to participate. I don't know if there are many reading my blog but it would be lovely to have a few who would like to do this. Most swaps include parcels of lots of bits and bobs but I was thinking of swaps like postcards, golden books, keyrings, erasers. Only one item at a time. Just ideas :/

how does your garden grow?

[+] I finally got my vintage argus camera that I ordered from etsy. It is too cute for words. I have to find some 620 film spool so I can use it.

[+] Uni got cancelled due to a security threat, I wish they could have told me earlier as I drove all the way out there.

[+] I bought a pot of gorgeous purple lisianthus...the flowers are so beautiful. I'd love to have them in my garden but every time I change them from pot to my garden they die.

[+] I dyed my hair the other day and it looks black to me! I really wanted my hair like a nice hazelnut colour but now it is chocolate/black.

[+] I need to complete a group assignment but my team members are not emailing me so I can't do anything.

[+] I am knitting a teddy bear and am already stuck...I need help.

[+] Found a video recently on how to make a bow with your hair, it is so cute but I don't think I could pull it off. (Here).

Finally finished my typographic self-portrait. Not sure if I'm completely happy with it though.

I got a flower today...my son is so sweet. True it probably came from the ground, but it is the thought that counts.


Tutorials were fun today, well maybe fun is too cheerful a word. We started our typography self-portrait. Simply tracing our names from a handout of 4 typefaces, sounds easy right, but my letters were all wobbly. Can you tell?

L is for the way you look at me

Classes have finished for the week..hooray! I have sooo much to read for next week and I find it so much harder reading from the computer screen. It is like my eyes go cross-eyed.

After classes I went to eckersley to buy some A4 bank paper.  I have never in my life heard of bank paper and when I saw it on our list of items that we need for typography I thought the lecturer made a typo.  What a noob!

Oh...I got a DSLR...I am officially in L.O.V.E.

So today is the day I start a new journey.  My path has changed so much and I am truly happy with the new direction.  Classes have officially started today. Such a cold day too!! but I am blissfully happy :D
