Just to let you know I may not be around until the first week of January 2011, I am off on a short holiday with my family. Not sure if I will be able to connect during that time but I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a glorious new year!
I still can't believe it has been 17 years of married life this Sunday that has passed and although we did not celebrate in a big way it was still nice to reminisce back to that day, half of which we don't even remember. I was really hoping to upload some of the video from the actual wedding but is on a VHS and I don't have a converter. So I am uploading this photo, my absolute favourite photo of the day (and frankly one of the few decent shots from the wedding) and one of my favourite songs. I am getting so close to the 20th year mark, how insane!
I wanted to share with you some of my favourite 40s music ever. I love Fred Astaire, I love the clothes, I love the hairstyles and the way they talked. I sometimes feel I was born in the wrong era
Do tell me if you enjoy this music too!
OH and this weekend I am celebrating my anniversary...I will upload some photos tomorrow :)
A very sad day today...our sweet little Cookie got run over and died
My poor children are heartbroken, I wish I could take this hurt from them and perhaps turn back time to this morning and change things but I can't. All that remains are her memories and her heart shape food...and tears, lots of tears :(
Made some cola de mono (translated it means monkey's tail, I am not sure why it is named that way) but it is a Chilean christmas drink. You get milk and boil it with cinnamon quills, coffee, cloves and sugar. Once it has cooled you add pisco or any alcohol and a pinch of nutmeg. You then let it cool and drink. I made mine with cereal coffee and rum imitation.
Finished up some christmas cards
Went for a little stroll and noticed there aren't that many christmas lights this year...I saw only one house with christmas lights :( maybe from the high cost of electricity or maybe because christmas has come upon us so suddenly. Whatever the reason I'd like to take this opportunity to wish all my dear blog friends a very merry christmas. Little did I know when I started this blog that I would make such wonderful and dear friends. Thank you all for your friendship, it means so much to me. May this christmas be one of many spent together :D
