Today I got caught up once again watching for perhaps my a millionth time, maybe more Anne of Green Gables and falling in love all over again with Gilbert. I love him! I definitely do not want to start the sequel as I will not get anything done today.
But I love watching this movie and I could never tire of it or the music, although I must say the music does make me feel rather melancholy. One of my biggest dreams is to own the books one day, in fact every time I go the charity shop my eyes are opened extra wide just in case I spot these books, no luck just yet but my eyes will be forever waiting to see these and my fingers will be crossed extra tight. I think I will pass out that day from holding my breath too! I've only ever read one Anne's House of dreams and I know they are available on iBooks but there is something extra special about owning the books. I leave you with a small quote and Anne's theme music, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do :)
I've loved you ever since the day you broke your slate over my head ~ Gilbert Blythe
I still can't believe it has been 17 years of married life this Sunday that has passed and although we did not celebrate in a big way it was still nice to reminisce back to that day, half of which we don't even remember. I was really hoping to upload some of the video from the actual wedding but is on a VHS and I don't have a converter. So I am uploading this photo, my absolute favourite photo of the day (and frankly one of the few decent shots from the wedding) and one of my favourite songs. I am getting so close to the 20th year mark, how insane!
I wanted to share with you some of my favourite 40s music ever. I love Fred Astaire, I love the clothes, I love the hairstyles and the way they talked. I sometimes feel I was born in the wrong era
Do tell me if you enjoy this music too!
OH and this weekend I am celebrating my anniversary...I will upload some photos tomorrow :)
I thought this one would be hard considering the previous one took me a while but it was actually quite easy. My second last job was getting really stressful, I was working on a helpdesk and I was doing most of the work. It was hard some days climbing the steps up to where I worked. I would literally struggle, so I would get my iPod out and put this song on as loud as my ears could handle and it would manage to change my mood, it got me through the day. I almost didn't want to take my earphones off!
So here it is...Sunshine by Twista (Sorry for the swearing)
It was a very warm day today for my mini date. We ended up going to a Chilean pastry shop. I wasn't very hungry when we got there and wasn't going to have anything but then decided on a small pastry. Andres ordered a chacarrero (it is like a burger but it has green beans, thinly sliced meat, avocado, mayonnaise and tomatoes on some handmade bread)and I ended up having half of that as well! I'm so bad. I really wanted to take Andres to pretzel world but that will have to be another time.
I saw Guy Sebastian on Hey Hey and he sang my favourite song. I really love it. He sang it with Kate Cebrano's brother on the circle a couple of weeks ago and it sounded amazing. Has anyone heard it?
