My most favourite movie

Today I got caught up once again watching for perhaps my a millionth time, maybe more Anne of Green Gables and falling in love all over again with Gilbert. I love him! I definitely do not want to start the sequel as I will not get anything done today.

But I love watching this movie and I could never tire of it or the music, although I must say the music does make me feel rather melancholy. One of my biggest dreams is to own the books one day, in fact every time I go the charity shop my eyes are opened extra wide just in case I spot these books, no luck just yet but my eyes will be forever waiting to see these and my fingers will be crossed extra tight. I think I will pass out that day from holding my breath too! I've only ever read one Anne's House of dreams and I know they are available on iBooks but there is something extra special about owning the books. I leave you with a small quote and Anne's theme music, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do :)

I've loved you ever since the day you broke your slate over my head ~ Gilbert Blythe

there's a snake in my boot

Today was the longest day but a very fun day too! I finally went to watch Toy Story 3 at the drive-in. It started to rain earlier but luckily it cleared up in time to watch the movie :)

favourite movie

My most favourite movie? Gee it is hard to pick as I have so many in mind. I mean a LOT of movies. There are just so many that are brilliant in my eyes.

But my number one...has to be Anne of Green Gables. It is such an amazing movie. I bought the videos when they came out and it took me a long time before I was able to throw them out. I only threw them out because I no longer have a VHS player PLUS they tape was worn from so much rewinding, I guess.

I remember watching this when I was in high school and when it came out we would have to wait a whole day to watch the next part, I think I was in year 7, and it was agony waiting a whole day to find out the next part.

Can you tell which side is mine? ;)

new frankie

Bought the new frankie...

So many lovely things...I particularly liked the tea towel section. Makes my plaid woolies tea towels look awful plain.

I had a week off from uni and was hoping to get a little ahead but all I've done is watch movies, lots and lots of movies. Let me see if I remember them all
  • Sherlock Holmes 2009 (****)
  • Mao's Last Dancer 2009 (***)
  • Mansfield Park 1999 (***)
  • The Time Traveller's Wife 2009 (*)
  • The Rebound 2009 (**)
  • Nanny McPhee 2005 (****)

I'm sure there are more, but my love has invited me for a coffee at Gloria Jeans :)

frankie love

Orientation today was really good.  The lecture hall was full of students and it was interesting to see all these chic, boho, artistic, hippie guys and girls.  Most of them are coming straight from high school but I'm sure there must be someone my age :/

I managed to get my tutorial times changed today so that makes me extra happy too!  I don't know how this semester is going to go but I'm hoping I can handle it all.  It was actually quite hilarious as we had to draw the person sitting next to us.  I said to the guy next to me "I totally suck at drawing".  It was an exercise to make us loosen up cause most people were laughing/apologising for their poor efforts whereas if kindy students do the same exercise they proudly show off their picture.  I looked around and some drawings weren't that great, so felt a little better with my amateur attempt but in my defence we had 3 minutes to draw.  Well, that is the excuse I am going to use ;)

I also bought the new frankie today.  I haven't read it, I've been so busy today and I still have to watch two movies I rented.
